An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
